A virtual Technical Committee Meeting led by Eng. Jose Marie Lim, Water Quality Expert of the Study Team, was held via zoom application on 12 January 2021. The meeting focused on the details of the Reduce Pollution Load as one of the Priority Measures of MBSDMP.
The discussions include strategies and list of action plans and PAPs under each action plans on how pollution load in Manila Bay will be reduced.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various agencies and organizations such as National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB), DENR-River Basin Coordinating Office (DENR-RBCO), Maynilad Water Services Inc., Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), EcoWaste Coalition, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources IVA (BFAR IVA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), DENR-Mines and Geosciences Bureau (DENR-MGB), Co Multiversity, League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP), Manila Water Company Inc., Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), World Wildlife Fund-Philippines (WWF-PH), Southeast Asian Limnological Network, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Interior and Local Government Region IVA (DILG-IVA), Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Deltares, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA). DENR-Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (DENR-ERDB), National Transmission Corporation (NTC), DOT-Intramuros Administration (DOT-IA), University of the Philippines Los Banos Foundation Inc. (UPLBFI), Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM), from local government units of Quezon City, Balanga City, Pasig City, and Malolos City. There are also representatives from the Netherlands Embassy, and the Government of Netherlands.
