A virtual Technical Committee Meeting led by Dr. Miguela Mena, Tourism Expert of the Study Team, was held via zoom application on 15 January 2021. The meeting focused on the details of the promote responsible and sustainable tourism as one of the Priority Measures of MBSDMP.
The discussions include strategies and list of action plans and PAPs under each action plans on responsible and sustainable tourism in Manila Bay Area.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various agencies and organizations such as Wetlands International Philippines Program, Reynulfo Juan Management Consultancy Services, DENR-River Basin Coordinating Office (RBCO), Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the Netherlands Embassy, EcoWaste Coalition, DA-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR), UPLB-Institute of Biological Sciences (UPLB-IBS), Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP), Government of the Netherlands, World Wildlife Fund Philippines (WWF-PH), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Deltares, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), DTI-Board of Investments (DTI-BOI), PNP-Maritime Group (PNP-MG), DENR-Mines and Geosciences Bureau (DENR-MGB), National Transmission Corporation (NTC), DOT-Intramuros Administration (DOT-IA), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), University of the Philippines Los Banos Foundation Inc. (UPLBFI), Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM) , from local government units of Pasig City, Macabebe, Quezon City, Hagonoy, and Bacoor City.
