At the fifth stakeholders' FGD held online on 9 October 2020, Dr. Rex Victor Cruz, Deputy Team Leader of ICZM/CCA Expert, UPLBFI, led the discussion on REF.
The event began at 9:00AM and ended at 10:35AM, and was attended by MBSDMP PMO staff, OIDCI staff, NEDA, stakeholders from Bulacan PG, WWF, DPWH, MARINA, DENR-MBCO, NEDA, Bulacan PPDO, Netherlands Embassy, MMDA, QC CArD, LCP, UPLBFI, PGB-BENRO, QC LGU, and NAMRIA. There were 65 total participants (26 females, 39 males).
PAPs covered were: Establish Manila Bay Water Resource and Floor Management Decision Support System; Establish North Manila Bay Coastal Line of Defense; Design and Implement Nature-Based Flood Protection Solutions; Undertake Climate Resilient Solutions and Strategies, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Community-Based Relocation for People Exposed to Coastal Flooding; Minimize Land Subsidence; Enhance Disaster Preparedness and Adaptive Capacities of Coastal LGUs and Communities Affected by the Northern Manila Bay Coastal Defense; Improve Drainage along Major Rivers Draining to Manila Bay; and Rehabilitate Watershed Areas in Manila Bay Area.
