Stakeholder-Focused Meeting: Institutional Set-Up

In the second FGD held on 6 October 2020, the group discussed the Situational Analysis and Institutional Set-up for Manila Bay.

The meeting, which was conducted online from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, was attended by 74 participants (38 females, 36 males) from MBSDMP PMO staff, OIDCI staff, NEDA, stakeholders from LCP, Bulacan LGU, Tractebel, PCG, BFAR, DENR CO and RBCO and MGB, MWSS-CO, QC LGU, Netherlands Embassy, UPLB, WWF, MWCI, MMDA, TIEZA, and PPPC.

Dr. Ruth Gerochi, Institutional Development Specialist of OIDCI led the discussion, which covered the requirements of an organization to oversee the sustainable development of Manila Bay, the proposed "The Manila Bay Development Commission", its mandates, core functions, basic structure, and institutional arrangements for planning, budgeting, and M&E, the transition steps, and decision points and major recommendations.
